Ezri

Old Testament

Ezri was the overseer of King David's agricultural workers who tilled the soil.

Ezri son of Chelub was the official appointed by David to oversee those who worked the royal farmlands (1 Chronicles 27:26). He served as one of the twelve officials who administered David's royal estates, each responsible for a different aspect of the kingdom's agricultural and pastoral resources. His administrative role reflects the sophisticated royal bureaucracy that David established to manage the economic resources of the United Monarchy.
