Geuel

Exodus & Wilderness Tribe of Gad · H1345
Old Testament

Geuel, the son of Machi, was the representative of the tribe of Gad among the twelve spies sent by Moses to explore Canaan.

Geuel son of Machi was the representative spy from the tribe of Gad sent by Moses on the reconnaissance mission into Canaan (Numbers 13:15). He was among the twelve leaders, one per tribe, tasked with assessing the land's fertility and the strength of its inhabitants. Like most of his fellow scouts, he was presumably part of the majority who brought back a discouraging report, contributing to the generation's forfeiture of entry into the Promised Land.
