Jamin

Jamin was a son of Ram and a descendant of Jerahmeel from the tribe of Judah, listed in the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 2:27. He appears alongside his brothers Maaz and Eker in the Jerahmeelite branch of Judah. The name Jamin was also borne by a son of Simeon (Genesis 46:10; Exodus 6:15) and by a Levite who helped Ezra explain the law to the people in Nehemiah 8:7—distinct individuals from this Judahite figure.
