Jude, a brother of Jesus, was the author of the Epistle of Jude and is mentioned in the lists of Jesus' siblings.
Jude (Judas), a brother of Jesus and of James, is listed among the siblings of Jesus in Matthew 13:55 and Mark 6:3. He is traditionally identified as the author of the Epistle of Jude, in which he describes himself as 'a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James' (Jude 1:1). Like Jesus' other brothers, he initially did not believe in him (John 7:5), but he later became a leader in the early church, traveling as a missionary with his wife (1 Corinthians 9:5). The short but intense epistle bearing his name addresses false teaching with vivid apocalyptic imagery.
