Manahath

Patriarchs (Abraham–Joseph) Edom · H4506B
Old Testament

Manahath was a son of Shobal, a Horite.

Manahath was a son of Shobal son of Seir the Horite, one of the indigenous inhabitants of the region of Edom (Genesis 36:23; 1 Chronicles 1:40). His name is also associated with a Benjaminite genealogical tradition in 1 Chronicles 8:6, where the men of Geba are said to have been exiled to Manahath—referring to a town or region of that name. The place Manahath is possibly identified with modern Manahat near Jerusalem.
