Zichri, a Levite descendant of Moses, was a treasurer in the temple during the time of David.
Zichri was a Levitical descendant of Moses through Eliezer, Rehabiah, Jeshaiah, Joram, and Zichri's father, who served as a treasurer over the dedicated things in the temple storehouse during David's administrative organization (1 Chronicles 26:25). He is distinct from the numerous other men named Zichri in the biblical record — including a Reubenite (1 Chronicles 27:16), a Benjamite (1 Chronicles 8:19, 23, 27), and an Ephraimite warrior (2 Chronicles 28:7). This particular Zichri is known only from the Levitical treasury lists.
