Manna

17 آيات

The miraculous bread from heaven that God provided daily for Israel during their forty years of wilderness wandering. Exodus 16:14-15 describes it as 'thin flakes like frost on the ground,' and the people asked 'What is it?' (man hu, giving manna its name). God provided enough for each day, teaching daily dependence (16:16-20). Double portions came before the Sabbath (16:22-26). Deuteronomy 8:3 explained its purpose: to teach that 'man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.' Jesus identified himself as the true bread from heaven: 'Whoever eats this bread will live forever' (John 6:58). A jar of manna was kept in the Ark of the Covenant (Hebrews 9:4).
