Ammiel

Ammiel was a Levitical gatekeeper, son of Obed-edom, appointed by David to guard the storehouses associated with the southern entrance to the sanctuary (1 Chronicles 26:5). Obed-edom's family was renowned for the blessing of God that rested on his household when the Ark of the Covenant was stored with him (2 Samuel 6:11–12), and his sons were numerous and capable (1 Chronicles 26:4–8). Ammiel was described as the sixth son of Obed-edom. A different Ammiel son of Gemalli was the spy from the tribe of Dan who brought back a negative report about Canaan (Numbers 13:12).
