Baana son of Ahilud was one of Solomon's twelve district governors.

Baana son of Ahilud was one of Solomon's twelve district governors, responsible for the region of Taanach, Megiddo, and all of Beth-shean (1 Kings 4:12). Each governor was charged with supplying provisions for the royal court for one month of the year—an administrative innovation that demonstrated Solomon's systematic organization of his kingdom's resources. Baana's district encompassed the strategically important Jezreel Valley, a crossroads of trade and military movement in ancient Israel.
