Elnathan

Elnathan was the father of Nehushta, who became the mother of King Jehoiachin of Judah, recorded in 2 Kings 24:8. He was thus the maternal grandfather of the king who was deported to Babylon during Nebuchadnezzar's first siege of Jerusalem. His family connection to the royal house places him among the leading families of Jerusalem at the close of the Judean monarchy.
