Ezer

Ezer was a Gadite warrior who crossed the Jordan during flood season to join David at the stronghold, listed in 1 Chronicles 12:9 as one of the fierce Gadite soldiers who left Saul's army for David. These men were described as lion-faced warriors as swift as gazelles on the mountains, and they helped David during the pivotal period of his rise to power. Ezer's allegiance reflected the widespread recognition among Israel's fighting men that God's favor had shifted from Saul to David.
