Harhaiah was a goldsmith whose son, Uzziel, was involved in repairing a section of Jerusalem's wall during Nehemiah's time.
Harhaiah was the father of Uzziel, a goldsmith who repaired a section of Jerusalem's walls under Nehemiah's direction (Nehemiah 3:8). The fact that a goldsmith was recruited for this construction work illustrates the broad mobilization of all available skilled workers in the ambitious rebuilding project. Harhaiah is preserved solely through this patronymic reference to his son's participation in one of the most celebrated restoration efforts in biblical history.
