Haziel

Haziel was a Levite from the family of Shimei son of Gershon, listed in 1 Chronicles 23:9 among the heads of Gershonite families who were enrolled by David in preparation for the organization of temple service. He was among the Gershonites counted and assigned their duties in the great Levitical census that David conducted toward the end of his reign. His enrollment contributed to the administrative framework David established for the Levitical service of the future temple.
