Hodaviah

Hodaviah, also written as Hodaiah, was a descendant of King David through Elioenai in the post-exilic royal genealogy of 1 Chronicles 3:24. He was one of seven sons of Elioenai, representing one of the last named generations of the Davidic line recorded in Chronicles. His inclusion in this late genealogy demonstrates the scribal care taken to preserve the royal lineage through the turbulent years of exile and return.
