Ibsam

Ibsam was a son of Tola from the tribe of Issachar, listed in the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 7:2 among the heads of their fathers' houses who were mighty warriors. The Issacharites enumerated in this passage numbered 87,000 men fit for military service in David's time. Ibsam's inclusion among these clan heads indicates he was a recognized leader within the tribal structure of Issachar during the period of the united monarchy.
