Jehoaddan (also written Jehoaddin) was the mother of King Amaziah of Judah and was from Jerusalem (2 Kings 14:2; 2 Chronicles 25:1). As the wife of King Joash and the mother of Amaziah, she was the queen mother at a pivotal moment in Judahite history following the upheavals of Athaliah's usurpation. Amaziah her son 'did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, yet not like David his father,' beginning his reign with justice but later turning to idolatry (2 Chronicles 25:2, 14).
