Jehoram, also known as Joram, was the son of Jehoshaphat and king of Judah.

Jehoram (also called Joram) was the fifth king of Judah, son of Jehoshaphat, reigning around 848–841 BC. He consolidated power by killing all six of his brothers and walked in the ways of the house of Ahab—his father-in-law—rather than the piety of his own father (2 Kings 8:16–19; 2 Chronicles 21:4–6). During his reign, Edom revolted and secured independence from Judah, and the prophet Elijah sent him a letter warning of divine judgment for his murders and apostasy (2 Chronicles 21:12–15). He died of a painful intestinal disease, described as a divine punishment, and was buried in Jerusalem but 'not in the tombs of the kings,' a mark of lasting dishonor (2 Chronicles 21:18–20).
