Jerusha

Old Testament

Jerusha was the mother of King Jotham of Judah and the daughter of Zadok.

Jerusha, daughter of Zadok, was the mother of King Jotham of Judah and wife of King Uzziah (2 Kings 15:33; 2 Chronicles 27:1). As queen mother she occupied a position of honor in the Judahite court, and her son Jotham is praised for doing what was right in the sight of the LORD. Her father Zadok may have been associated with the Jerusalem priesthood, though the connection cannot be established with certainty from the available text.
