Koz

Koz was a descendant of Judah, specifically a son of Helah (one of Ashhur's wives), mentioned in the genealogy of Judah in 1 Chronicles 4:8. He fathered Anub and Zobebah and the families of Aharhel. He should be distinguished from Hakkoz, the ancestor of a priestly family who returned from exile but could not prove their lineage (Ezra 2:61). Koz appears only in this genealogical notice with no further biographical information.
