Pedaiah, son of Parosh, an officer over the half-tribe of Manasseh in King David's administration.
Pedaiah was the administrator appointed by King David over the half-tribe of Manasseh west of the Jordan (1 Chronicles 27:20). David organized the administrative oversight of the twelve tribes through appointed officers, and Pedaiah represented the western Manassite territory in this system. Several other men named Pedaiah appear in the biblical record, including a son of Jeconiah (1 Chronicles 3:18–19), the grandfather of King Josiah's mother (2 Kings 23:36), and a wall-builder under Nehemiah (Nehemiah 3:25).
