Jaalah was among the descendants of Solomon's servants who returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile.
Jaalah, also written as Jaala, was among the descendants of Solomon's servants who returned to Jerusalem and Judah from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:56; Nehemiah 7:58). The servants of Solomon listed in these registers may represent hereditary temple servants or functionaries associated with the royal administration. Jaalah's family's return to the land marks their participation in the post-exilic restoration of the community.
