Jekameam was a Levite, the son of Hebron, mentioned in the genealogies of the Levites in 1 Chronicles.
Jekameam was a Levite, a son of Hebron and a grandson of Kohath, listed in the genealogy of the Kohathite Levites in 1 Chronicles 23:19 and 24:23. He was one of four sons of Hebron who received assignments in the temple service during David's organization of the Levites. As a descendant of Kohath, Jekameam belonged to the most privileged Levitical family, from whom the priests themselves descended, and his family line served in the sanctuary from early times.
