Keturah was the concubine Abraham took after the death of Sarah, and she bore him six sons.

Keturah was the woman Abraham married after the death of Sarah, and she bore him six sons: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah (Genesis 25:1–4; 1 Chronicles 1:32). In 1 Chronicles she is called Abraham's concubine, and Genesis 25:6 refers to the sons of Abraham's concubines collectively, suggesting her status was secondary to Sarah's. Abraham sent her sons eastward with gifts to distinguish them from Isaac, the heir of the covenant. Her descendants are associated with the trading peoples of Arabia and Mesopotamia, including the Midianites who appear throughout the later biblical narrative.
