Massa

Massa was the seventh son of Ishmael and the ancestor of an Arabian people bearing his name (Genesis 25:14; 1 Chronicles 1:30). The name Massa may be connected to the superscription 'the oracle of Massa' in Proverbs 30:1 and 31:1, suggesting a connection to wisdom traditions associated with Arabian tribal culture. His descendants settled in the northern Arabian Peninsula alongside his brothers' tribes as the twelve princes of Ishmael.
