Merías

Meraiah was a priest who served as head of the priestly house of Seraiah during the high priesthood of Joiakim son of Jeshua in the early Second Temple period (Nehemiah 12:12). He is listed in the roster of priestly family heads who held office in the generation after the first return from Babylon. Beyond this single entry in the post-exilic priestly register, no further information about Meraiah is preserved.
