Old Testament

Mica (or Micah), a Levite, lived in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile.

Mica, also written Micah or Mika, was a Levite who settled in Jerusalem after the return from Babylonian exile, identified as the son of Zichri and father of Mattaniah (1 Chronicles 9:15; Nehemiah 11:17, 22). He belonged to the Levitical families who took up residence in the holy city as part of the restoration community's effort to maintain proper worship. His descendant Mattaniah played a role in the musical and liturgical life of the Second Temple period.
