Pedahzur

Exodus & Wilderness Tribe of Manasseh · H6301
Old Testament

Pedahzur, father of Gamaliel, the leader from the tribe of Manasseh during the wilderness wanderings.

Pedahzur was the father of Gamaliel, the appointed prince of the tribe of Manasseh during the wilderness period (Numbers 1:10; 2:20; 7:54–59; 10:23). As the father of a tribal prince, Pedahzur held a position of ancestral honor within Manasseh, but his own role in the narrative is entirely subsumed by his son Gamaliel's official duties. He appears only through this paternal relationship in the wilderness census and encampment texts.
