Peresh

Peresh was a son of Machir and his wife Maacah, and a grandson of Manasseh, listed in the genealogy of Manasseh in 1 Chronicles 7:16. He is one of three children of Machir and Maacah—along with Gilead and Sheresh—in the Manassite genealogy. The Machir family was prominent in the tribal history of Manasseh, holding territory in Gilead (Numbers 32:39–40), and Peresh represents one of the secondary lineages within that influential clan.
