Salmon (or Sala) was the son of Nahshon and husband of Rahab - an ancestor of King David and Jesus Christ.
Salmon was the son of Nahshon and father of Boaz, appearing in the genealogy of David in Ruth 4:20–21 and Matthew 1:4–5. In Matthew's genealogy he is identified as the husband of Rahab, the former Canaanite innkeeper of Jericho who is honored for her faith in Hebrews 11:31, making Salmon a link between the Canaanite convert and the Davidic royal line.
