Uri was the father of Geber, one of the twelve officers appointed by Solomon to provide for the king and his household.
Uri was the father of Geber, one of the twelve district governors appointed by Solomon to organize the provision of food for the royal household on a monthly rotation (1 Kings 4:19). Geber ben Uri administered the region of Gilead east of the Jordan. Uri is known only through this paternal reference in the administrative records of Solomon's kingdom.
