Zabad

Zabad, the son of Ahlai, was one of David's mighty warriors listed in the extended catalogue of 1 Chronicles 11:41, though he does not appear in the parallel list in 2 Samuel 23. Several other men named Zabad appear in the biblical record, including an Ephraimite who killed Gath's herds-men (1 Chronicles 7:21) and multiple post-exilic men who put away foreign wives (Ezra 10:27, 33, 43). This warrior Zabad is known only from the Chronicler's list of David's champions.
