Micah 3:9
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

'Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity' — Micah's address to the political-judicial leadership of Jerusalem is one of the sharpest prophetic indictments of ruling-class corruption in the Hebrew Bible. The specific charge — 'build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity' (verse 10) — accuses the leaders of constructing the holy city on a foundation of social violence, directly contradicting the temple theology that assured divine protection regardless of ethics. Verse 12's prediction that 'Zion shall be plowed as a field' was directly quoted in Jeremiah 26:18, sparing Jeremiah's life by precedent of an earlier prophet's similar message.
