Azzan

Azzan was the father of Paltiel, a leader from the tribe of Issachar chosen by God to assist in the allotment of Canaan among the tribes of Israel (Numbers 34:26). He appears in the list of tribal representatives appointed to oversee the fair distribution of the Promised Land under Moses and Eleazar. His role illustrates the carefully organized process by which Israel took possession of Canaan according to divine instruction.
