Buz

Buz was a descendant of Gad, the son of Abdiel and the father of Jahdo, listed in the Gadite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 5:14. The Gadites settled in the Transjordanian territory east of the Jordan River, and Buz appears in the register of their chiefs and leaders. He should be distinguished from the Buz who was a son of Nahor (Genesis 22:21), ancestor of the Buzite people from whom Elihu's father Barachel descended.
