Hakupha was among the temple servants who returned to Jerusalem from Babylonian captivity.
Hakupha was the ancestor of a family of Nethinim who returned from Babylonian exile under Zerubbabel, listed in Ezra 2:51 and Nehemiah 7:53. The Nethinim served as dedicated temple assistants, supporting the Levitical staff in the various practical duties of sanctuary service. Hakupha's family was among the many such clans whose return to the land made possible the restoration of organized worship in the rebuilt Jerusalem temple.
