Haroeh

Haroeh was a man of the tribe of Judah from the Calebite lineage, listed in 1 Chronicles 2:52 as a son of Shobal and associated with the population of Kiriath-jearim, the city that housed the ark of the covenant for twenty years before David brought it to Jerusalem. He is listed among the 'half of the Manahathites,' suggesting his descendants occupied part of the town or region of Manahath. His genealogical entry connects him to one of the significant cultic sites of early Israelite history.
