Melech

Melech was a son of Micah and a descendant of King Saul through Jonathan and Mephibosheth, listed in the Benjaminite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 8:35 and 9:41. He is part of the preserved Saulide lineage that the Chronicler traces into the post-exilic period, demonstrating the survival of Saul's family line despite the dynasty's political end. His brothers include Pithon, Tarea (or Tahrea), and Ahaz. He is known only from these genealogical registers.
