Two Witnesses
Two prophetic figures described in Revelation 11:3-12 who prophesy for 1,260 days with extraordinary powers. They can send plagues, turn water to blood, and consume enemies with fire from their mouths — recalling Moses and Elijah. When they finish their testimony, the beast kills them, and the world rejoices over their deaths. After three and a half days, God raises them to life and calls them to heaven. Their identity is debated — Moses and Elijah, Enoch and Elijah, or symbolic representatives of the church's witness. Zechariah 4:3-14 provides background with its two olive trees. The two witnesses embody faithful prophetic testimony maintained even unto death.
