Tabernacle

The portable sanctuary used by Israel during the wilderness wanderings, serving as God's dwelling place among His people. Its design, given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai, prefigured the later Temple and Christ's incarnation ('the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us').
