Ara

Ara was a descendant of Asher, a son of Jether, listed in the tribal genealogy of 1 Chronicles 7:38. He is one of several sons of Jether described as heads of ancestral houses and warriors enrolled for military service. The tribe of Asher settled along the northern coastal plain and the western Galilean highlands, and the genealogies preserved in 1 Chronicles 7:30–40 reflect the tribal organization of Asher during the monarchy. Ara himself appears in no narrative episode and is known solely from this genealogical reference.
