Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, led a coalition of kings against Sodom and Gomorrah and was later defeated by Abraham.

Chedorlaomer was the king of Elam who led a coalition of four Mesopotamian kings in a campaign against a rebellion by five Canaanite city-state kings in the Valley of Siddim (Genesis 14:1–16). After defeating the Canaanites and capturing Lot, Abraham's nephew, Chedorlaomer was pursued by Abraham and his trained men, who routed his forces by night and recovered all the captives and goods. Though no king named Chedorlaomer has been positively identified in Elamite records, the account reflects historical memory of Elamite imperial expansion in the early second millennium BC.
