Iru

Iru was a son of Caleb the son of Jephunneh, listed in the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 4:15 alongside his brothers Elah and Naam. This Caleb is the famous Israelite spy who brought back a faithful report from Canaan and was later given Hebron as his inheritance (Joshua 14:6–15). Iru, as a son of this celebrated figure, would have inherited the legacy of Caleb's faithful service and his tribal prominence within Judah.
