Malluch, a son of Hashabiah, was a Merarite Levite.
Malluch son of Hashabiah was a Merarite Levite, listed in the genealogy of the Merarite clan in 1 Chronicles 6:44. He stands in the line leading to Ethan, one of the three chief temple musicians appointed by David. The Merarite Levites were assigned the heavy structural transport duties of the tabernacle in the wilderness, and their later service in temple music represented a transformation of Levitical ministry in the settled period.
