Oren

Oren was a son of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, belonging to the Jerahmeelite branch of the tribe of Judah (1 Chronicles 2:25). He is listed among the five sons of Jerahmeel's primary wife alongside Ram, Bunah, Ozem, and Ahijah. The Jerahmeelite clans occupied the southern Negev region of Judah, and David was familiar with their territory during his years as a fugitive (1 Samuel 27:10). Oren appears only in this genealogical register.
