Tahash

Patriarchs (Abraham–Joseph) Early Patriarch · H8477
Old Testament

Tahash was a son of Abraham's brother Nahor and his concubine Reumah.

Tahash was a son of Nahor, Abraham's brother, born to Nahor's concubine Reumah (Genesis 22:24). He is listed among the eight sons of Nahor alongside Tebah, Gaham, and Maacah, who are generally understood to represent Aramean tribal groups east and northeast of Canaan. Tahash's name may be connected to a type of animal skin used in the tabernacle, though the precise identification remains debated among scholars. He appears only in this genealogical notice.
