Tahath was a Levite of the Kohathite clan, the son of Assir and father of Uriel.

Tahath was a Levite of the Kohathite clan, the son of Assir and father of Uriel, listed in the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 6:24. He belongs to the line of Kohathite Levites descending from Izhar, the brother of Amram, and thus from the same priestly lineage that produced Moses and Aaron. Tahath appears only in this genealogical record and is not associated with any narrative episode in the text.
