Rivers
Flowing waters that symbolize life, blessing, and the Spirit's work in Scripture. The Garden of Eden was watered by a river dividing into four (Genesis 2:10-14). Psalm 46:4 declares, 'There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.' Ezekiel 47:1-12 envisions a river flowing from the temple, bringing life wherever it goes — a vision fulfilled in Revelation 22:1-2's 'river of the water of life.' Jesus promised, 'Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them' (John 7:38). The Jordan River marks Israel's entry to the promised land (Joshua 3) and Jesus' baptism (Matthew 3:13-17).
