Old Testament

Aridatha was one of the ten sons of Haman, who were killed and hanged after their father's downfall.

Aridatha was one of the ten sons of Haman the Agagite, listed among those killed in Susa following the reversal of Haman's genocidal plot against the Jews (Esther 9:8). The book of Esther records the names of all ten sons as they were executed on the thirteenth of Adar, and then—at Esther's request—their bodies were publicly hanged the following day (Esther 9:13–14). The deaths of Haman's sons are presented as the culmination of divine justice against the enemies of God's people. Their Persian names reflect the Achaemenid court context in which the story is set.
