Gaddi

Exodus & Wilderness > · H1426
Old Testament

Gaddi, the son of Susi, was the representative of the tribe of Manasseh among the twelve spies sent to explore Canaan.

Gaddi son of Susi was the representative spy from the tribe of Manasseh sent by Moses to scout the land of Canaan, recorded in Numbers 13:11. He was among the twelve men chosen, one from each tribe, to assess the land's character, its inhabitants, and the feasibility of conquest. The majority report he and most of the spies brought back—emphasizing the giants and fortified cities—contributed to Israel's crisis of faith at Kadesh-barnea.
