Old Testament

Harsha was an ancestor of temple servants who returned from Babylonian exile.

Harsha was the ancestor of a family of Nethinim who returned from Babylonian exile under Zerubbabel, listed in Ezra 2:52 and Nehemiah 7:54. As with other Nethinim families, his descendants were temple servants who helped restore the practical life of the Jerusalem sanctuary after the exile. His name, possibly meaning 'craftsman' or 'silent,' is one of the many unusual names preserved in the Nethinim and temple servants' lists of Ezra and Nehemiah.
